Mrs. Pamela Diane (Foster) Sullivan, age 71, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 9, surrounded by family at her home in Jackson, TN.
She was born in Winfield, AL on February 19, 1953, the daughter of the late James Leroy Foster and Nancy Irene (Lee) Foster.
Pam married Roger Dale Sullivan on December 25, 1971, and had just celebrated 53 happy years of marriage. She worked at Jackson General Hospital as a nurse for 32 years, retiring in 2022. She also worked at Medicenter in Jackson, Winston County and Macon County Hospitals in Mississippi and Rankin Fite Hospital in Winfield, AL.
Pam graduated from Winfield High School in 1971. She was a cheerleader for 5 years, she was head cheerleader her senior year, she sang in the girls’ ensemble, and she sang with several quartets around Winfield. She graduated from Union University with a degree in nursing in 1986. While attending Union University Pam gave her life to Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
Pam was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed family gatherings, church activities, all kinds of music, and University of Alabama football and softball. She was a faithful member of Meridian Baptist Church. Her hobbies included singing in the church choir, performing as a member of Sweet Assurance women’s ensemble, and spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandson. Pam leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, faith, and perseverance.
Pam is survived by husband Dale, son David (Christina), daughter Meagan Jones (JP) of Hattiesburg, MS, granddaughters Chrissy Casey (Cody) and Nikki Dyer (Ty), grandsons Tyler, Sully, and Logan, great grandson Andrew Casey, and brother Bill Foster of Winfield, AL, as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by brothers Alfred, Terry, and Michael Scott, and sisters Mary Box and Betty Sumerel.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Meridian Baptist Church, 161 Harts Bridge Rd Jackson, Tn, with Tim Bass and Larry Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
