It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda M. Peralta, age 61, announces her passing on November 28, 2024. Linda was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to her family.
Born on July 5, 1963, in The Bronx, NY, Linda spent most of her life in Dutchess County, NY, before relocating to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in 2017. Throughout her career, she worked tirelessly in loss prevention at Lechmere, JCPenney, Walmart, and as a security officer at Marist College, always striving to ensure the safety and well-being of those around her.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her four beloved sons: Alexander Velez and his wife, Danielle; Michael Velez; JayJay Rosa; and Jonathan Rosa. She was the proud grandmother of Alexander Bayne Velez, Porter Velez, Talon Velez, Abby Kate Velez, and Dayton Minnich. Linda is also survived by her loving brothers & sister, Rego Rodriguez, Johnny Rodriguez & Meredith Torres. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, as well as her many dear friends who treasured her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support.
Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A burial service will be held on January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Fishkill Rural Cemetery
